Overview of Role:
The Chase Wealth Management Lending Product Specialist (LPS) serves as the primary point of contact for any lending queries from an assigned region(s) of Advisors and Assistants.  As part of Wealth Management Lending Solutions, this role helps support and develops the lending products platform for Chase Wealth Management with a focus on building solutions for our Chase Private Client business. 
The successful candidate is expected to develop a deep understanding of products across our platform including, securities based lending, Mortgage lending, fixed income, equities, managed/discretionary accounts business, and the brokerage business.   

Key Responsibilities:
  • Increase use of Securities-Based Lending by raising awareness, conducting training, and collaborating with CWM Market leadership (i.e. CB Division leaders, WM-MDs, IPS, SM, RBOM) to develop a confident, knowledgeable, and fluent field of Private Client Advisors. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact and subject matter expert for any lending queries from an assigned region(s) of Advisors and Assistants.   Advises, consults and partners with the Market
  • Ability to appropriately structure SBL and mitigate credit risk
  • Collaborates with senior level managers to establish realistic expectations and timelines;  Serves as a trusted resource to the Market by generating creative solutions for both internal and external client issues
  • Provide resolution to margin shortfalls in assigned markets within established guidelines to cure.
  • Frequent collaboration with the Underwriting, Collateral Monitoring, Risk, Loan Services and Wholesale Lending Services internal partners is required to resolve production, quality and escalated client service or risk related issues.  Remove hurdles to a great client experience while mitigating risk in the region.  Takes ownership for key risk processes and recommends solutions or strategies in a timely manner
  • Ensures compliance with process and procedures, as well as maintaining high customer service levels for internal partners and clients
  • Demonstrates decisiveness by making thoughtful and timely decisions in high volume and ambiguous situations to achieve best outcomes for the client and firm.
  • Develops and implements solutions and strategies based on deep expertise of business and product
  • Ability to manage and maintain productivity during peak periods, high volumes, & stressful situations
  • Makes sound credit decisions and recommendations based on specific credit policy guidelines
  • Ability to manage, influence and motivate upward and downward across function; mentors junior staff
  • Drives projects related to productivity improvements, compliance, and other matters as needed
  • Back up support to other Lending Product Specialists when necessary
  • 10 years of financial services experience, preferred focus of lending product experience
  • Strong partnership and people skills ; work with people across all levels of the organization (analyst to MD)
  • Exceptional analytical, written, and presentation skills, must be articulate
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple priorities
  • Must be able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability and ability to work under pressure
  • Creative and can think "out of the box"
