JPMorgan Chase's Core Foundation Services (CFS) group, within Global Technology Infrastructure, designs and delivers critical and foundational platform solutions for all technology infrastructure systems across all lines of business. This includes the engineering design and delivery of platforms for Directory Services, Authentication and Privilege Management, Configuration Management, IPAM, Orchestration, Reference data, and more.
 
We are looking for a SCCM Infrastructure Developer to join our growing Development team and build out the next generation of automation technology for our platform.  The ideal candidate will take ownership of existing C# based SCCM web services and continue to extend them to automate packaging and infrastructure automation tasks including a Self Service Packaging Portal and Windows Server Build Automated provisioning.  The candidate will be required to take high level objectives, extract specific requirements and execute on tasks while taking a high degree of ownership. We are looking for someone who can help the businesses implement solutions that help facilitate:
  • “Infrastructure as Code” initiatives require the candidate to have at least working understanding of OS provisioning and lifecycle management concepts and tools.
  • Recommending solutions to meet the business needs by working with technology teams that range from development and production support teams
  • Communicating with both management and non-management teams to design solutions
  • Working with a team of software engineers and infrastructure developers to deliver automation frameworks that will be adopted by all technologists
As part of the Windows Server Configuration Management and Automation Engineering team you will help deliver the next generation of automation frameworks to be adopted by all technology teams that transforms how JP Morgan Chase approaches resiliency, operational efficiencies, and adoption of modern DevOps practices.
In the role of a SCCM Developer, you will be responsible for:
  • Understanding what the business does and how it is accomplished and key process dependencies that may exist
  • Analyze business functional requirements to identify information, procedures and decision flows
  • Developing solutions to automate a full application failover with no human involvement
  • Assist in identifying scope of work
  • Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience; communication of business information to a technical audience
  • Collaborate cross functionality with infrastructure developers, support teams, and other software engineering teams
  • Working with a team of engineers and infrastructure developers to deliver automation frameworks that will be adopted by all technologists
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvements
Qualifications for technical Business Analyst:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred;
  • Minimum of 5+ years of hands on experience managing System Center Configuration Manager in a complex, global, mission critical production environment
  • Advanced knowledge of SCCM (System Center Configuration Manager) including the Application model, OSD and Task Sequence
  • Advanced knowledge of WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) classes and methods
  • Working knowledge of C#
  • Working knowledge of WCF and SOAP web services
  • Working knowledge of SOAP and REST based authentication methods including windows authentication and Kerberos delegation
  • Strong knowledge of storage and networking technologies and how they interface with physical and virtual environments
  • Knowledge of the Window Server product lifecycle
  • Experience in working with MSSQL databases. Able to read and analyze queries, along with developing stored procedures
  • Basic understanding of windows infrastructure automation (SCCM DCM, PowerShell DSC, Chef, Puppet) helpful
  • Basic understanding of SDLC (software development lifecycle) helpful
  • Experience gathering requirements from the client/business and documenting
  • Ability to problem solve including multiple priorities and research conflicting and/or inaccurate data as required.
  • Able to escalate and manage tickets with vendor support team
  • Able to quickly learn product features and stay current on capabilities from vendor
  • Work with teams to perform backups/restores/failovers
  • Excellent communications and mentoring skills, both within the immediate team and to external teams
