We are actively seeking a Business Systems Analyst II within the Audience Targeting as part of Marketing Services. This position will require the capability to work on a combination of controls work and List Quality Control work. The individual will have accountability for performing List Quality Control review of the list code for campaigns from all LOB’s (Card, Auto, Home Lending, and Merchant Services) as well as providing an assessment of the validation to stakeholders and managers. This role will also include job responsibilities aligned with the controls process around the development of new controls processes and management of existing controls.   This role is a critical control function within our marketing process.  
 
Role Responsibilities:  
  • Perform Quality Reviews on the List Code for List QC.
  • Track review/validation in shared database and include appropriate documentation/disposition - ( List QC)
  • Responsible for recognizing opportunities and recommending enhancements to existing process to improve effectiveness, efficiency and quality
  • Steer and coordinate changes to Policy / Procedures, Strategy, IS programs and other impacted functions.
  • On-going administration of control related processes as well as identification and prioritization of process issues and improvement opportunities
  • Analyse current practices and identify process gaps/opportunities and establish controls
  • Develop control monitoring routines in support of the business ensuring sustainable processes are in place for the on-going reporting and evaluation of risks
  • Conduct  cross functional risk reviews, analyse controls and close gaps
  • Provide oversight of all procedure maintenance activities and represent the department on the Operational Governance Board
  • Complete Control testing activities
QUALIFICATIONS – Required
Technical Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including list creation, data import/export functions, pivot tables, charts, graphs, ODBC connectivity, Visual Basic scripting.
  • Working knowledge of C3/TSYS system of record.
  • Experience using SAS, preferably base SAS on Unix, as well as SQL and Oracle or Teradata databases

Qualification Requirements:
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience using SAS, preferably base SAS on Unix, as well as SQL and Oracle or Teradata databases
  • Experience with Process/Risk Management and Procedural documentation
  • Ability to perform data assessments and identify business impacts/opportunities and recommend process enhancements   
  • Highly self-motivated and the ability to work independently
  • Must be detail-oriented with an ability to prioritize and simultaneously manage multiple tasks
  • Proven ability to influence all levels of management
  • Ability to interact effectively (verbal/written) and negotiate with all levels of management, including cross-functional and external stakeholders

Experience
  • Experience analysing and manipulating data, preferably in a List Management or Database Marketing role.
  • Knowledge of regulations that pertain to communicating and marketing to customers (such as privacy and TCPA regulations) is preferred.
  • Experience diagnosing gaps in processes and procedures coming up with detailed recommendations and implementing changes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively with strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • A background in the banking/financial services industry is preferred.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience. A concentration in relevant l fields is preferred (e.g. Statistics, Business Intelligence, Marketing, Computer Science etc.)
