Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services. GTI is designed to address the unique infrastructure needs of specific lines of business and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.

GTI Service Operations (SO) is responsible for service support and delivery for JPMorgan Chase's (JPMC) Global Technology Infrastructure. Through its Global Service Desk and Infrastructure Operations Centers, SO provides global, coordinated diagnostic and support services, while its Production Assurance and Support functions leverage and execute industry leading infrastructure management and support processes that are designed to minimize customer outages and impacts.

The SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for the operation of the infrastructure supporting the Digital Channel across the Development, UAT, Performance, DR, and Production environments (24 x7).  In this exciting and high energy position, you will have a mission-critical role in managing the infrastructure that powers the chase*.com and mobile consumer and business channels.  The DBA will work closely with Digital Application Development and Application Support teams in all regions to ensure high standards of support are maintained and reliability goals achieved.  The DBA is expected to drive standards and improvement through automation focusing on efficiency, reduction of risk, and ensuring high availability and sustained resiliency through configuration management.
This position is anticipated to require the use of one or more High Security Access (HSA) systems. Users of these systems are subject to enhanced screening which includes both criminal and credit background checks, and/or other enhanced screening at the time of accepting the position and on an annual basis thereafter. The enhanced screening will need to be successfully completed prior to commencing employment or assignment
  • 5+ years of  SQL Server Database Administration experience.
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Server.
  • Experience with Clustering, Mirroring and LogShipping.
  • Experience with Database Design and SQL Development.
  • Experience with Service Broker, SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
  • Experience in installing and configuring multi-node and multi-subnet clustered SQL servers.
  • Experience with Management Studio and Visual Studio Team Edition
  • History of managing multiple RDBMS in large environments.
  • Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, performance testing, and tuning.
  • Experience with building a highly available environment (log mirroring/log shipping).
  • Experience working in a 24X7 environments and on-call support; role will require rotational on-call support.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
