Job Description:
Global Services Operations (GSO) is responsible for service support and delivery for JPMorgan Chase's Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) organization. Through its Global Service Desk and Infrastructure Operations Centers, GSO provides global, coordinated diagnostic and support services, while it's Production Assurance and Support functions leverage and execute industry-leading infrastructure management and support processes that are designed to minimize customer outages and impacts.
The Global Network Operations Centre (GNOC) is responsible for Tier-2 support for the Global data and voice networks, spanning 50 countries with over 2 million data network ports, 25,000+ network devices, 600+ PBX systems, 800+ voice mail systems, and 65+ call center sites.
This role is for a junior developer to join the Global Network Operations Center to identify opportunities and implement automations, dashboards and scripts.  You will utilize mature programming methodologies and languages and adhere to coding standards, procedures and techniques while contributing to the technical documentation.


  • Work with developers to help automate network infrastructure support
  • Develop scripts and dashboards to improve operational efficiencies
  • Perform day-to-day management of workload and projects
  • Represent the group in other internal Global Technology programs
  • Partnering with global team members from within or other teams to achieve successful business delivery
  • Interact with stakeholders to understand the requirements and perform thorough analysis
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for some of the group’s strategic objectives.
  • Analyze existing processes and procedures and assist in the design/improvement task force as it relates to network monitoring
  • Strong focus on continual service improvement such as alarming/alert reduction
  • Follow documented standards, such as Best Practices, and Security Guidelines
  • Adhere to proper escalation policies keeping severity levels accurate and management aware of high priority issues. Follow the correct troubleshooting guidelines to ensure proper and timely resolution.
  • Identify and independently resolve obstacles influencing timely resolution of all incidents. Escalate to management as needed

  • Requirements:
    • Associates degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
    • Minimum two years of Software Engineering experience developing enterprise wide web based (intranet) applications using Python, or other object oriented language like C#, C++, Java, etc.
    • Solid design, coding, testing and debugging skills.
    • Knowledge of version and revision control practices and procedures.
    • Database design and SQL.
    • Experience working in a Linux environment.
    • Creative problem solving skills and excellent troubleshooting/debugging skills.
    • Eager to learn and adapt to new ideas
    • Experience working in a banking, exchange or technology type environment within a global organization.
    • Strong experience in prioritization, process and problem analysis.
    • Strong communication skills - written and verbal.
    • Strong work ethic in a mission-critical 24x7 diverse environment with multiple vendor/customer relationships.
    • Must be flexible, hands on and able to work in a fast paced, high pressure, client-focused and collaborative environment
    • Manage problems and follow up on incidents and write incident reports
