Department Description:
The Financial Information Reporting Solutions (FIRS) External Reporting team is responsible for providing accurate, complete and consistent data for aggregation and analysis in support of critical regulatory requirements to the FRB, OCC, FDIC, and FFIEC.  This team supports the line of business external reporting teams, Corporate Financial Reporting (CFR) and Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA). Our goal is to continuously improve the reporting process through enhancements to the control environment and to improve the operating model.
External Reporting Support Associate
The External Reporting Support Associate will support the Team lead on the following:
  • Partnering with FRRA to transition and manage operation support of strategic Attestation Platform, inclusive of:
  • Mailbox management, responding and actioning email queries as per the agreed SLAs
  • Assist in quarterly affirmation and attestation process inclusive of communicating reminders and properly escalating issues/concerns to corresponding teams
  • Prepare and deliver reporting and metrics around the attestation process
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across locations to process change requests and to onboard new users and reports under External Reporting Accountability Framework
  • Recruiting, developing and leading team of resources; direct and indirect oversight
  • Contributing to continuous improvement efforts/enhancements around External Reporting processes/tools pertaining to the team
  • Providing strong technical and project management support to the team lead.
    This role requires operational/process management skills to support multiple diverse processes within defined timelines while maintaining procedural and control discipline. The role provides exposure to various LOBs and Functions and provides an opportunity for the individual to partner with CFR, FRRA and Line of Business/functional Controller teams.
The candidate for this position must have the following qualifications and skill set to perform this role:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business/Finance related field
  • 3+ years’ experience
  • Intermediate experience and knowledge of core Microsoft Office application suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).  Prior experience with Microsoft Project, Visio and SharePoint preferred.
  • Strong technical, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral
  • Ability to work in teams and to interface with senior management and staff
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment; including strong time-management and prioritization skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Availability to support Quarter-end close schedules which may require extended hours
