The Corporate Technology (CT) organization develops applications and provides technology support for corporate functions across JPMorgan Chase, including Global Finance, Corporate Treasury, Risk Management, Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and all functions within the Corporate Administrative Office (CAO).


The Financial Crimes Technology team within the CT organization provides Anti-Money Laundering (AML) technology solutions that strengthen the firm's ability to effectively guard against the abuse of our products and services by criminals.   As a Technology Project Manager / Technical Implementation Analyst, the candidate will play a critical role in leading and supporting the firms’ strategic AML Transaction Monitoring solution.


This team is aligned with corporate partners’ evolving technology needs and the firm’s ever expanding technology controls agenda.

A top CT priority is building scalable corporate systems. Teams focus on:

  • Responding to the evolving regulatory environment and helping to meet the firm’s regulatory commitments by addressing internal and external commitments
  • Advancing the firm’s Roadmap programs - Single Sourcing of data, Architecture Convergence, and Rationalization of Platforms
  • Adopting industry leading technologies to support best-in-class business capabilities for high performance computing and data storage solutions
  • Driving innovation across the firm’s corporate technology portfolio, increasing efficiencies through process automation, and Agile application development, with an emphasis on user experience and shorter development cycles
  • Investing in security & controls for cyber, access/entitlements uplift, data protection and application resiliency


We are presently seeking a seasoned, Vice President and Technology Implementation Project Manager with skilled software development experience across the SDLC including technical implementation, data analysis, requirements, testing, familiarity with coding, and project management.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, design, test and manage/deliver quality software products in a complex environment
  • Acquire knowledge and develop expertise of JPMC’s AML Transaction Monitoring system architecture, data interface specifications, source system data providers, and suspicious activity monitoring requirements
  • Facilitate project scoping sessions involving multiple LOBs application teams and actively participate in requirements definition sessions.  Document and obtain consensus of project scope including source system providers, data requirements and system integration requirements
  • Formulate project execution approaches in partnership with peers/technical teams
  • Successfully deliver Technology projects spanning the SDLC for projects building Business Intelligence/reporting capabilities using tools such as Spotfire, Qlikview or Tableau)
  • Identify key tasks, dependencies, providing task duration estimates, and building schedules.  Update project plans and status reports as required
  • Lead in the identification of data and technical issues and communicate resolution options/status to management
  • Partner with Production Support to ensure proper implementation readiness and operations turnover;

  • 10+ years of combined software development, analysis, leadership, and/or IT project management experience required
  • 8+ years of experience in one or more specific banking transaction and customer data sets
    • Retail, Wires, Payments, DDA, etc.
    • Anti-Money Laundering (AML) experience
    • Prior experience in the financial industry with AML Transaction Monitoring will allow the prospective candidate to hit the ground running
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical or analytical field with preferred focus in Information Systems or Computer Science
  • Critical thinker and self-motivated team player.  Must possess the ability to research and resolve issues independently and also successfully coordinate across technical, vendor, and business teams
  • Ability to organize/manage multiple priorities and projects coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever-changing business questions and needs
  • Must have excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
  • Experience managing geographically distributed and culturally diverse work-groups with strong team management, leadership and coaching skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive all tasks until objectives and dates are met; Experience in all phases of systems development/project life cycle including testing (integrated systems and user acceptance); Strong capabilities in managing the creation of high quality project deliverables
  • Detail-oriented coupled with the ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Spotfire, Qlikview or Tableau preferred
  • Microsoft Project and Clarity experience is preferred
