Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) is a best-in-class, global HR service delivery organization of over 800 people, servicing the entire population of JPMC, currently totaling over 250,000 employees worldwide in over 60 countries.  As part of the firm’s ongoing commitment to operating with integrity, preserving our reputation, minimizing risks and strengthening controls, JPMorgan Chase launched the Global Business Travel Tax Program (GBTTP) in 2016. This Program enhances the firm’s compliance with tax withholding and reporting obligations that arise when employees travel for business and work outside their normal work locations.  


The Global Business Travel Tax Program PMO is currently seeking seasoned Project Managers who will manage the global project plan and coordinate project tracking and documentation activities across all travel lanes and activities. Additionally, the Project Managers will provide project management support for implementations in the US taking on responsibility for continuing rollouts and expansion of the program domestically.  The Project Managers will also facilitate the process around change requests and technology enhancements as the program stabilizes and moves into a steady-state delivery model.


Role Summary

The Global Business Travel Tax Project Managers will report to GBTTP Global PMO Leader and will be based in Newark, Delaware and / or Tampa, Florida.  The successful incumbent will be an experienced project leader and manager who can drive effective planning and execution in a complex evolving space. In addition to project leadership and management skills, the successful incumbent will have a broad range of skills and a willingness to work across many areas, including process mapping, solution development, organizing teams, testing, change management, and vendor management to achieve the objectives of the program.  These roles support a global team and cross multiple initiatives around the globe requiring the ability to be flexible with scheduling in order to accommodate global demands.


  • Develops and maintains detailed project plans and drives execution of the program projects, ensuring diverse multi-disciplinary team of personnel and vendors are completing tasks and providing info for status updates in a timely way

  • Aligns team activities and efforts to overall achievement of project objectives; supports and influences personnel in development of action plans to close issues and mitigate risks;

  • Anticipates barriers, identifies risks and assertively acts to remove them keeping project momentum on track

  • Directly responsible for execution of project tasks and support to other team members on their execution, to ensure success of the project

  • Prepares and supports presentations on project plans, status, and other project topics

  • Proactively communicates project updates and developments to key stakeholders, ensuring awareness and appropriate action is taken

  • Uses project management methodology, tools and techniques to establish and execute all aspects of project management and execution

  • Raises up opportunities to make project more effective and efficient




Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in project management disciplines including support of global complex projects.
  • Experience in project launch/deployment; including establishing launch readiness criteria, readiness planning, command center design and stabilization strategy

  • Process-oriented with experience in designing and re-engineering processes

  • Agile, quick learner who can come up to speed quickly on the Business Travel program in order to apply gained knowledge to facilitate decision making

  • Experience in Testing (QA/UAT) is a definite asset

  • Understands big picture and effectively translates into tactical action plans

  • Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills, at all levels and across global team

  • Very strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

  • Excellent organizational skills including effective prioritization and multi-tasking

  • Strong personal leadership skills and effectively asserts self with leaders and vendors

  • Ability to quickly and effectively develop presentation materials

  • Superior capability in utilizing MS Office suite

  • Experience in Tax, Accounting or Payroll (or payroll systems)  is a definite asset

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related experience, equivalent combination of education and years of related experience
