    The Business Planning and Analysis team is a part of Consumer and Community Banking Finance and is responsible for developing and managing staffing plans to ensure CCB Operation’s business objectives are met. The primary responsibilities of this team include volume / demand forecasting, capacity planning, resource scheduling and business analysis/support. This is a key role within a new team that has been developed to lead resource planning for Chase’s ~5,200 retail branches.
    The key duty for this role will be to help design and build the data infrastructure necessary to support big data and large scale analytics – identifying the best platform and technology stack, helping to architect the data and table structures, and building an accessible data repository.
    This position will also lead the development and support of user-friendly analytical reporting tools to provide all leadership levels with the business insights needed to ensure our branches are optimally staffed and that our customer service goals are being met.
    The person would also be responsible for systems administration, data architecture, reporting design & execution, and data controls for the Branch Workforce Planning group. We need someone who is extremely intellectually curious and has a proven ability to manage large data sets and help build advanced analytical solutions in an operations environment.
    The ideal candidate will be an innovative thought leader with the technical ability to drive process improvement across systems and platforms. This position requires working collaboratively amongst other talented team members and across the broader organization. A big part of the role is to be able to ask open-ended questions, identify issues, explore new ideas, and choose appropriate techniques for solving a given problem.
    Specific responsibilities include:
    • Establish and maintain foundational data needed to support the Branch Workforce Planning function
    • Maintain and manage reporting platforms, ensuring reports are developed and distributed on time
    • Ensure that the reporting framework provides insight and controls over workforce planning activities
    • Develop exception based analytical tools to drive timely actions
    • Maintain and align various IT environments required, such as server space, EDW, SAS, Tableau, Essbase cubes, etc.
    • Partner with leadership to develop new business analytics solutions, providing unprecedented visibility to branch operations and their linkage to customer service levels
    • Ensure high degree of data quality and accuracy on all BI reports and diagnostics
    Possess strong interpersonal skills for partnering with various levels of the organization and influencing results

Preferred qualifications:
  • Data Design:  Experience developing data maps and evaluating data structures to develop efficient design frameworks
  • Data Acquisition:  3 to 5 years of database experience with advanced SAS and SQL skills; experience researching and manipulating complex and large data sets
  • Report Development:  Extensive experience building superior analytical and reporting tools and dashboards using data visualization, such as Tableau or Qlikview
  • Operational Acumen:  Past experience (educational or professional) in Operations Research
  • Attention to Detail:  Must have a high degree of attention to detail, specifically in ensuring all reports and underlying data are accurate
  • Analytical Rigor:  Ideal candidate would be an analytical thinker with superior data analysis skills; synthesizing information across multiple platforms, systems, and organizations
  • Communication:  Ideal candidate would be able to develop and deliver concise presentations that clearly articulate challenges, actions and results for complex matters - creating clarity and a bias for action with key stakeholders. Ideal candidate would be able to crisply synthesize data into actionable insights for executive leadership
  • Intellectually Curious Self Starter:  Must be able to operate in a self directed manner with little direction; must have a strong desire to take the initiative to deliver superior results
