Job Description:

The CIB Global Program Management team is responsible for the management and delivery of a range of large scale initiatives. The Vice President will lead the program management for a new large scale initiative to re-platform Banking Client Reporting Tools and to program manage the Sales & Marketing P&A program.  The role is in the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB) within Finance & Business Management’s (F&BM) Program Management team.


The candidate should have exceptional communication and project management skills and demonstrate solid judgment and leadership skills, as well as ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a complex environment.  Problem solving skills are essential.  Experience with CIB products or financial reporting is preferred.


The Vice President will lead the program management governance as well as the execution of certain projects within the portfolio.  The candidate will liaison with CIB stakeholders, Corporate and Technology.  


Governance Leadership

  • Establish program management structure and ensure programs/projects are managed with appropriate oversight (governance, project plans, stakeholder/communication plans, requirements, testing, design, issue/risk identification and resolution, project resourcing, benefits realization, project costs, etc.).
  • Facilitate meetings with senior managers and key stakeholders to communicate updates, directional changes and key risks/issues while influencing outcomes and driving resolution.  Lead a bi-monthly PCC meeting and project specific working group meetings.
  • Act as the communication strategic lead for the overall portfolio and management of key messaging.
  • Manage project planning and monitoring; scope management and change control process. 
  • Define and drive control framework and ensure adherence by the program.
  • Ensure projects are executed in the most effective and efficient manner.

Project Execution Leadership:

  • Execute on multiple large scale reporting projects across various stakeholders.  Develop program/projects scope, goals, project plans, and milestones.
  • Manage project timelines and track and execute against required deliverables
  • Resolve conflicts and successfully manage project/task dependencies.
  • Identify and effectively solution for risks, issues and control gaps.
  • Partner with technology to ensure development is in adherence to the business requirements.  Build proactive partnerships with business and functional partners.
  • Provide end to end ownership of projects / initiatives.        
  • Develop and manage UAT strategy.  Manage operating model changes end-to-end. 
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 5 years of previous Program Management / Change Management / Project Execution experience (with a financial institution preferred)
  • Experience with client/financial systems and CIB product knowledge is preferred
  • Strong control, process, and project management skills with the proven ability to execute, influence and drive results
  • Proven experience driving end-to-end project/change management
  • Strong leadership skills, ability to influence outcomes and drive resolution
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to compare complex alternatives and select a solution.  Ability to apply creativity to problem analysis and resolution in complicated situations
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize, prioritize and drive results with a strong sense of urgency
