The Firm-wide Tax Program Management Office team supports the Corporate Tax organization as well as coordinates across the program management groups within the various lines of businesses (LOB) that oversee tax regulatory changes within their organizations. The team plays a critical role in positioning the firm to better respond to changing regulatory environments and internal demand requests by deploying change centrally versus de-centrally within the LOBs.
The Project Management will be lead the organization through the delivery of the tax regulatory programs such as tax reporting & withholding through to VAT invoicing and billing. The manager will also partner with LOBs, Tax, Legal, Compliance, and Technology and Operational stakeholders to defining requirements, sizing impact and providing oversight of other and related tax reporting changes.
Specific responsibilities include:
Provides oversight and facilitation of projects within the Firm-wide Tax Program Management Office, which includes regular updates to project stakeholders and up through Senior Management and Firm-wide Initiative Sponsors.
Identify process gaps and manage execution of the project life cycle.
Develops, publishes and manages the project approach, plan, and regular MIS (e.g. status reports, issue/risk logs, briefing decks); in addition executing LOB-agnostic deliverables; KPIs, templates, training modules, and communications.
Partner with Corporate Tax, Compliance and Legal to disseminate guidance across the LOB PMOs to ensure consistent compliance of regulations.
Work closely with business and delivery teams to drive the implementation globally.
Facilitate the transition project activities to BAU functions.
Excellent knowledge and proven delivery experience of project techniques, methodologies, deliverables and tools.
Strong leadership, consulting management skills and the ability to define strategic direction, influence and motivate others as well working independently while keeping multiple stakeholders appropriately updated.
Superior verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to motivate, exceptional relationship building skills and ability to effectively partner with all levels of management across numerous functions
Strong analytical / critical thinking and problem solving skills.
Strong presentation skills Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Word, Audit, internal control or operational risk experience a plus.
Regulatory Tax experience within Indirect Taxes (VAT/GST/Sales Tax) and tax operational knowledge preferred.
AMP in Project Management preferred and a degree / relevant qualification in Finance.
