JP Morgan is seeking an experienced recruiter to lead the Corporate and Investment Banking front office recruiting efforts across the region for Treasury Services, Trade, Investment Banking and Corporate Banking. The regional banking recruitment lead will ensure that JP Morgan is positioned to attract, source and recruit the best talent, both internally and externally. This individual will be responsible for developing sophisticated sourcing and recruitment strategies and will assist in identifying and defining the hiring needs of the respective lines of business, collaborating with Recruiting colleagues, Human Resource Business Partners, the Compensation team and Hiring Managers.

The regional banking recruitment lead will facilitate sourcing strategy discussions, work to creatively provide a diverse slate of candidates for all roles and/or opportunistic hiring while reducing the dependency on external recruitment firms. The team focuses on identifying top talent across all Banking lines-of-business, asset class, geographies and diverse cultures.

Responsibilities
  • Accountability for determining and delivering the strategic roadmap of CIB Front Office recruiting regionally, partnering with business heads and internal HR stakeholders
  • Execute an effective and efficient talent acquisition strategy to fulfill identified business needs, and exceed service level expectations
  • Building strong client relationships - partnering with Hiring Managers to understand their business, define their staffing needs, advise on operational excellence and regulatory protocols, and agree best practice recruiting strategy
  • Manage end-to-end recruiting process for talent across multiple lines of business/disciplines/geographies including sourcing, interviewing and guiding selection process
  • Partner with regional and global Recruiting Leads to develop and execute on cross line of business regional recruiting strategies – with particular attention to individual line of business requirements, regional needs and global firm wide recruiting priorities
  • Actively contributing to the wider recruitment team through pro-active sharing of information efficient use of resources, tools, best practices and partnering opportunities
  • Identify and maintain a network of top talent through the use of primary and secondary research methods and tools including: Internet based research, data mining, market mapping, cold calling and other sourcing techniques to build candidate pipelines and profiles
  • Proactively identify existing and potential risk and control issues related to the activities of the recruitment and HR function and take the appropriate action to mitigate these
  • Participate in recruitment initiatives including focus on build out of diverse pipelines, gathering market intelligence and developing candidate assessment strategies
  • Structuring and negotiation of compensation with successful candidates, Hiring Managers, the compensation team and the local human resources team members
  • Connect with external resources and competitors to identify and understand recruiting and market trends impacting business lines across the region
  • Providing regular reporting updates and attending appropriate business management meetings
  • Maintaining and developing productive relationships with key suppliers including negotiating and managing terms of business and resolving any disputes which may arise
  • Project management and delivery of a variety of recruitment projects

 

  • A minimum of 5-8 years of full-cycle, professional level recruiting experience required, preferably related to financial services in an in-house and agency recruitment environment with significant exposure to front office recruitment
  • Demonstrated experience is required in client facing relationship management, depth of vertical line of business knowledge and history of results making opportunistic introductions based on strategic investment themes
  • Demonstrated experience creating and executing on strategies to source with limited reliance on agency support
  • Strong focus on and awareness of risk and control issues
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills - interacts and communicates equally well at all levels
  • Experience working and influencing in a complex matrixed and fast pace environment
  • Team player and have the ability to build partnerships with clients, vendors and HR colleagues
  • Ability to identify innovative and creative solutions for challenging to fill positions
  • Excellent direct sourcing skills with the ability to leverage a variety of technologies including LinkedIn, eFinancial and other creative sourcing channels
  • Ability to mobilize internal networks and resources
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Fluent in mandarin is preferred but not a must
  • Strong English communication skills both verbal and written
