Job Description:
The successful applicant will be a member of the 1st/2nd level Futures & Options & Cross Asset client connectivity Operate Team based in Singapore,
This role will be working closely with the other Production Support teams in Asia and globally to ensure the stability and availability of relevant application infrastructure.  The candidate will have to liaise with third party vendors, F&O clients, both internal and external, GTI (infrastructure team) to resolve problems/issues raised.   
An understanding of the Futures & Options Business is strongly preferred, as is an in depth knowledge of the technologies that make up electronic trading platforms.
Main Responsibilities include:
  • 1st /2nd level support of F&O trading platform.   Resolve all issues/problems reported in a timely fashion.  Follow   up and keep users updated about the progress of the problems/issues reported
  • Regional SME lead for Cross Asset Client Connectivity
  • Monitoring the health status of the trading systems
  • Work with other JPMorgan Technology teams (Infrastructure, Network, Security etc) to manage the implementation of new solutions, while adhering to JPMorgan procedures and policies
  • Build strong working relationships with the Global & Regional F&O AD teams 
  • Proactively support knowledge sharing within the Application Service Delivery team
  • Attend information sharing and group training sessions
  • Participate in out-of-hours support, testing & exchange upgrades when required.
  • 5 + years experience in Technology in the Financial Markets Industry, supporting a trading environment
  • Knowledge of Futures & Options trading a strong advantage
  • Must have previous experience with Fix and good knowledge of Fix protocol
  • Experience with direct client interaction
  • Mid size project management experience
  • Previous experience with Ullink (Bridge, OMS) a strong advantage
  • Previous experience with GL Trade architecture, systems and GL API a strong advantage
    Technology Skills experience required:
  • OS : MS windows, UNIX and/or LINUX is required
  • In depth understanding of connectivity, networks, firewall and TCP/IP, DMZ environment, DNS, SSH, Firewalls, VPN clients etc.
  • Experienced in FIX protocol or FIX connectivity is a must have
  • Scripting (Perl, C Shell, or Bash)
  • Experience with Web Technologies such as Websphere or Apache
  • Experienced with ISVs such as GL, Pats or TT a distinct advantage
    Soft Skills:
  • Communication Skills - Ability to communicate at all levels within business and technology
  • Communication Skills - Excellent written communication to be able to clearly and concisely articulate issues and risks, and to clearly document technical solutions.
  • Problem Solving Skills is critical - natural inclination towards problem resolution
  • Customer Service Orientation - build positive working relationships with customers at all times providing realistic information and managing their expectations
  • Teamwork and cooperation - Ability to gel and work in a team oriented environment
  • Initiative - ability to think proactively
  • Language skills. Ability to communicate in different foreign languages would be ideal  (e.g. Chinese / Cantonese / Japanese / Korean etc)
  • Self Sufficient, highly motivated, resourceful individual
    Education (where applicable):
  • Technical Degree level education

Additional Info:  Weekend and out of hours work may be required plus work on a Shift Rotational basis to cover extend Asian Trading Hours
