Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm partnering with all lines of business delivering a broad range of high quality compute products including servers, storage, & networks via exceptional project execution in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance both business strategy and the centralized delivery of core standard products and services across the firm. GTI continued strategy is addressing the unique infrastructure requirements of specific lines of business and leveraging economies of scale across the firm
The GTI EMEA organisation is responsible for providing these services to all EMEA offices leveraging the global GTI plan, build and operate teams as appropriate.
As the GTI EMEA Regional Technology Lead you will be accountable for the production environment in Ireland. You will own the production management agenda, including major incidents, change management, operational initiatives. Additionally you will partner with GTI technologists and senior management ensuring effective management of key areas of the production environment, operational aspects involving core teams, and management of key events.  You will effectively influence your staff in escalating issues to existing GTI and LOB technology management teams.  The role is fundamental in driving effective centralization of production management activities across Ireland.
Role Description:
The GTI EMEA Regional Technology Lead Ireland is an Executive Director level role and is responsible for key functions within the GTI EMEA management strategy & wider Global Technology DRIVE.  The role is based in Dublin and reports to the GTI EMEA Production Lead.  This role is intended to provide functions that deliver across a number of areas, including:
  • Ensuring adherence to GTI Service Delivery and Technology Policies, Standards and Procedures
  • Provide focus on SLA management across Incident, Problem, Change & Request Management processes
  • Partners with Ireland business units understanding and driving their strategy from a Production Technology lens
  • Collaboration with IT Risk Management, Internal and External Audit, and Compliance. Effectively managing and mitigating risk issues; drive awareness on risks/threats and provides counsel on approach and management
  • Partners with all GTI Towers and peers in GTI EMEA Production Leadership team
  • Drive in region execution of the Global GTI Vulnerability Management lifecycle, including identification, reporting and remediation of vulnerability management issues
  • Continuous and demonstrable improvement of productivity resulting in increased cost effectiveness and value
  • Ensure processes are in place to pro-actively protect consistent service quality through rigorous management of change control and acceptance into service procedures in line with GTI Service release guidance procedures and continuously monitor
  • Ensures resources, capabilities and capacity to meet both existing and new business demand
  • Establish strong links with regional / global teams leveraging common processes, function and resources to manage service delivery targets
  • Full participation in annual finance processes and contribution to the EMEA production management region annual book of work activities
  • Provide problem management support to problematic recurring incidents ensuring root cause analysis is conducted and corrective action plans are in place
  • Oversees integration of all service delivery work streams and consistently improves the quality and collaboration of the ‘virtual’ service delivery team, including TSM’s and GTI Towers ensuring a seamless end-to-end service delivery for users
  • Manages, develops, motivates, and mentors either directly or indirectly the departments employees
  • Champions team-working, re-use, knowledge sharing and promotes the increased use of Shared Services capability.
The role is broad in nature and will involve working with all the EMEA locations on all aspects mentioned above. Ensuring effective governance is fundamental to the role ensuring appropriate production management is installed providing success to the business and production environment.

  • Demonstrable experience of having designed and implemented significant productivity as well as customer satisfaction improvements

  • Demonstrates a breadth and depth of operational risk & controls management expertise
  • Strong development focus - advocate of developing employees, teams and the business
  • Experience of leading and managing teams (including matrix management) within an operational service delivery or shared services environment

  • Strong organization and customer service skills
  • Proven experience leading and working with culturally diverse and geographically distributed teams
  • Strong demonstration of customer experience feedback initiatives
Additional responsibilities will include:
  • Travel within region
  • Bachelor's degree in technology related area preferred OR
  • Technology experience, a significant amount of which has been at the senior staff level, working with multiple technologies and complex, large scale, cross-functional project / production / service delivery, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Strong technical capability
  • Background in Financial Services
  • Experience in the product space, with architecture / solution provision beneficial
