This group is also focused on developing and delivering cutting edged mobile applications, digital experiences and next generation banking technology solutions to better serve our clients and customers.
The Executive Director leading development efforts for CTO IT Cash Services and Tax space will own end-to end responsibility for multiple critical applications that support domestic Cash processing and Tax reporting end to end.   US $ Cash Management  firm wide from External and Outsourced Vaults (over 50 locations in US), to the distribution to the >15K ATMs and >5K Retail branches, supports cash orders for Commercial and Treasury clients including big box retailers and merchants. Other duties include ensuring application compliance with risk and controls policies and timely risk remediation, disaster recovery planning, budget planning, managing project priority and team capacity, and identifying and mitigating project risks to deliver solutions on time. 
In addition, the Executive Director will build positive relationships with IT and business partners to understand strategy and the implication on applications and provide input, influence decisions, and drive change across technology, not limited by organizational lines or to activities within their own department.
  • Manage 50+ developers globally supporting multiple technologies.
  • Manage application roadmaps, book of work, and team capacity.
  • Create work estimates based on technology concepts and requirements documentation.
  • Coordinate development efforts across multiple Agile development teams, product owners, co-suppliers, vendors, architects, and business partners.
  • Closely partner with production support leadership and architecture to ensure24/7/365 application availability, stability, and monitoring.
  • Manage Audit, Risk and Controls agenda.
  • Growth of technical skillsets, business knowledge, & professional aptitude of team leads.
  • Manage roadmap to ensure code quality through unit tests, automated functional tests, and test-driven development.
  • Develop and define strategic and technical goals, roadmaps to achieve those goals, and success criteria to confirm goals have been met.
  • Work with technology team to articulate roadmap progress and coordinate with other team members to make decisions regarding solution constraints, technical limitations, or directions.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field.
  • Ten plus years of experience in information technology field, with a minimum of five managing multiple teams of technologists.  Agile team experience preferred.
  • Broad technology experience encompassing development, infrastructure, and operations including but not limited to:
    • Recent experience with Cloud native application development, Cloud deployment, and Cloud application refactoring
    • Well versed in 12-factor application patterns, microservice architecture patterns, and serverless compute patterns
    • Strong technical acumen in several of the following technologies, platforms, and frameworks: Java, Spring MVC, WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, Oracle, IIS, C#, ASP MVC, SQL Server, TDD, Junit, MSTest, Selenium, Cucumber, AWS, Azure, REST, Javascript, CSS
    • Working knowledge of Linux, Unix, and Windows operating systems
    • Knowledge of architecture best patterns and practices
  • Experience managing large technology budgets, including:
    • Staffing – both direct and contractors
