Best in class data management is a top priority for the Firm.  Accurate data about clients, products, and prices as well as other information is critical for every transaction, from making a loan to an individual to executing a derivative trade with a large institution.  High quality data is fundamental for daily operations, managing capital and liquidity, and providing transparency to shareholders and financial markets. 
Global Reference Data Operations (GRDO) is a group within Firmwide Data Management. GRDO consists of over 800 staff globally and services all businesses within the Firm.  Our team enables the company to evolve to a more integrated data management strategy, which is globally consistent and supports business, finance, risk and regulatory requirements. Data is sourced, validated, mastered and distributed via the Firm’s strategic architecture.  Our reference data processes and systems are managed by several teams.  To support our growth, the Firm has established an additional location in Poland for a technology and operations team that will be responsible for managing enterprise reference data, including Client, Product, Pricing, Financial, Instrument, and Common reference data. 
 
 Responsibility of the Associate will be
  • To ensure that BAU is processed as per Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • To be proactive in identifying process and knowledge gaps, and effectively manage escalations
  • Prioritize and manage projects requests in conjunction with BAU requests
  • Conduct and record weekly team meetings and raise all best practices
  • Identify opportunities for increasing operational efficiencies
  • Ensure that the team has effective Quality Check process in place
  • Should display an appreciation of control, quality and risk related issues. Ensure existent controls are followed by team
  • Interact and communicate with the business partners / requestors on regular basis to help them manage their expectations
  • Interact with the team on daily basis, conduct  monthly one-on-one meetings with each member
  • Should manage training needs of the team along with ensuring completion of the mandatory targets
  • Performance management, conduct appraisals , complete action plans for people development
  • Workforce management, scheduling & rostering, leave planning
  • Ensure Business Contingency Plan strategy is in place for the team
  • Provide Monthly Performance Metrics
  • Assist in projects on data interfaces between systems such as defining project scope, data requirements and sources/resources
  • Ensure updating of SOPs/ Issue Logs/ Exception Logs– Current  version to be updated on Share--point
  • Ensure that the Daily Checklist is signed off by the team including Team Leads
  • Participate in special projects revolving around data cleanups, process improvement analysis and reporting. To plan & estimate efforts during analysis & requirements gathering phase
  • Convert business problem statements into cost effective, scalable, reliable & user friendly solutions
Required Skills and Qualifications 
  • University Graduate
  • 8 - 10 + years of experience financial services or related industries including Operations
  • 5 years in a supervisory role and managing people
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Ability to manage global partners and requestors
  • Ability to handle matrix reporting for self and teams
  • Controls and innovation mindset
  • Focus on Client, Quality and Control environment
  • Good People Skills and ability to drive energy levels within the team
  • Good Analytical and Problem Solving Skills
  • Excellent Time Management Skills and highly result oriented.
