Our Global Service Centers (GSCs) are strategically positioned in Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad to support the firm’s operations regionally and globally. The centers provide comprehensive strategic support across technology and business operations processing to all lines of business and the corporate functions.
Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) is the technology infrastructure organization for the firm, delivering a wide range of products and services, and partnering with all lines of business (LOB) to provide high quality service delivery, exceptional project execution, and financially disciplined approaches and processes in the most cost effective manner. The objective of GTI is to balance both business alignment and the centralized delivery of core products and services. GTI is designed to address the unique infrastructure needs of specific lines of business and the demand to leverage economies of scale across the firm.
The candidate will be a part of dedicated Global Technology Decommission Factory team that manages end to end application decommissions globally across technology business units. This team owns firm-wide decommission practice that will standardize and pro-actively manage decommission of technology assets for the various LOBs in close interaction with Group Technology Infrastructure.  The team consists of relationship management, pipeline management, business analysis, data mining/data discovery, execution of decomm, automation and reporting.
The position is based out in Hyderabad.
Key responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

• The candidate will be primarily responsible for execution of the end-to-end application decommissions including documentation and updating relevant systems / tools / processes / procedures as requested by the business units and ensuring that SLAs and quality standards are met..
• Implement execution while adhering to the business / IT process as per the plan
• The candidate must be a self starter who is able to work independently in a fast paced, results driven environment. 
• Partner with the GT business and technology teams in execution of application decomms
• Coordinate with various levels of management and their delegates across global regions/time zones to determine the key milestones, timelines, progress, risks and dependencies.
• Track and report decomm execution status as on-going basis
• Partner with upstream/downstream teams in improving the execution process – scripting, run books, process improvements, creating work book for automation etc
• Must also have a consultative approach to encourage early escalation, determining the cause of deviations from the plan and resolution of potential delays.
• Independent thinking, willingness to "step outside the box" and with demonstrated ability to be reliable and flexible.

 

Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience with 4+ years of professional IT experience.

• 4+ years of application life cycle management/application development experience preferably in a application decommission projects

• Experience in a Large Global Banking/Financial domain is an added advantage

• Good understanding of distributed computing technologies including server hardware, storage, network, database management and AIX/Linux/UNIX Operating Systems and virtual environment

• Good knowledge of change and incident Management

• Strong understanding of Infra Life Cycle Management

• Good understanding in process engineering and ITIL Practices

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with management and fellow colleagues across diverse cultures.
