Job Description:
The Global Equities Capital & Balance sheet team sits within the Equity Controller organisation, itself a part of CIB Finance and Business Management, and is responsible for supporting the reporting,  efficient management of and explain of regulatory and balance sheet across the business and other  F&BM stakeholders.  The team has evolved in response to heightened sensitivity and requirement for fortress balance sheet, strong liquidity, and robust financial performance measures (Tier 1 Capital ratio / Leverage ratio / Return on Equity etc) as well as the efficient management of regulatory capital.
The JPMorgan Global Equities Business is a global leader in providing a wide range of equities solutions to our clients, this incorporates many products, including equity derivatives, options, hedge fund products, VFN’s, ETF’s, structured liabilities, and cash equity products.
Role description: The candidate will be responsible for assisting with:
  • Forecasting, review and periodic validation of the global Equities balance sheet
  • Required notional reporting for the global business
  • RWA calculations and allocations
  • Legal entity usage and analysis
  • Investigation and explain of business drivers underpinning significant financial movements across the balance sheet, funding and RWA for LOB’s with the regional product controller team
  • Suggest and implement controls and processes to improve accuracy and efficiency of reporting
  • Support new business initiatives to improve understanding of assets/liabilities, liquidity & funding profiles. Evolving into Leverage ratio other regulatory considerations, as well as Initiatives covering regulatory and accounting policy changes

The candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment, but also be able to drive strategic change, specific qualifications include
  • RWA knowledge preferred
  • Solid relationship building and influencing skills
  • Ability to multi-task with flexible working style, prioritise deadlines with competing requirements.
  • Control/efficiency mindset & strong analytical skills.
  • Product experience (Cash & Derivatives) and good working knowledge of MS Excel and Powerpoint, with Microsoft access skills would be advantageous.
  • Excellent accounting & regulatory knowledge, specifically Basel Capital Rules
  • High enthusiasm and energy
  • Accounting qualifications preferred
