The Consumer and Community Bank (CCB) currently consists of a number of credit portfolios including Credit Card, Mortgage, Auto, Student Loans, Business Banking and Dealer Commercial Services. The consumer business is supported by both Vertical Organizations (dedicated risk staff supporting a specific business) and Horizontal Organizations (staff that is accountable for working across businesses.) One of these Horizontal organizations is the Consumer Credit Forecasting team.
Within Consumer Credit Forecasting is the Central Strategy group. Our team is accountable for detecting emerging risks within and across consumer products and Chase portfolios, innovating with new credit risk management tools such as machine learning techniques to identify emerging risk patterns, researching and implementing big data sources, and building industry viewpoints and areas of potential industry contagion.
We develop views across CCB portfolios to support the Chief Risk Officer (and other senior leaders including the firm CRO, CCB CFO, firm CFO, Investor Relations and Regulators) with a proactive viewpoint on consumer credit trends. The team is looking to staff a risk associate to fulfil a number of consumer credit responsibilities. The candidate will support the Central Forecasting team across three functional areas: Emerging Risks, Financial Planning and Analysis, as well as Governance. The key function will be crafting documentation and executive level presentations, as well as to manage a small team of analyst and associate functionally aligned to these areas. The role will require to assist in building executive communications by reviewing and consolidating complex risk and finance analytics for all of Credit Forecasting. The candidate will be the on-site lead providing support to two junior members focused on FP&A reporting and analysis as well as Governance support.
The work schedule is Monday - Wednesday, 1 PM - 10 PM IST and Thursday - Friday, 11 AM – 8 PM IST
Work closely with the Emerging Risk and Risk Innovation teams to build compelling presentations aimed at JP Morgan’s most senior executives including the CEO, CRO and CFO for JPMC and for Chase, as well as the Board of Directors, the Firm wide Risk Committee, regulators and others. Would include:
Crafting new presentations based on a project plan (topic, questions, answers, summary of findings) and data.
Consolidating many existing presentations into a single cohesive package where the themes and story are consistent.
Reducing large, expansive presentations into 1-2 page key message slides for including in packages going to senior leaders
Oversee the work product of two associates functionally supporting (a) Financial Planning and Analysis and (b) Governance who will similarly be writing or assembling documentation, summary presentations, memos, policies / procedures / standards / controls.
FP&A – summarizing forecast results across multiple products into an overall “Chase” view. Standardizing the look of the materials across products (Mortgage, Auto, Card, Business Banking and Dealer Commercial Services). Ensuring all controls are followed, reviewing final output with management and receiving required approval
Governance – provide support to the loss forecasting leads in Mortgage, Auto, Card, Business Banking and Dealer Commercial Services to ensure that all governance requirements and best practices are being followed consistently across the broader team
Assisting in Project Management for audits and reviews conducted by parties such as Internal Audit, the Challenger Team, Self-Assessments, as well as external reviews as necessary
