Key Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
  • Work collaboratively within EDPi team to design, engineer, deliver and support high quality technology solutions to address the requirements, leveraging strategic technology solutions such as Hadoop, Spark.
  • Strong knowledge Data Warehousing concepts, production systems and workflows
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies such as SCRUM.
  • Familiar with development tools such as SVN/Jira, etc.
  • Out of box thinking…Passion for great product design
  • Perform end-to-end software development life cycle functions including Architecture, Design, Development, Application Industrialization, Performance Analysis & Tuning, Optimization, Testing and Product Maintenance.
  1. The individual must have 5+ years of diversified experience developing applications using Hadoop (Sqoop, Hive), java, databases
  2. Experience with data processing and analysis, preferably on big data
  3. Experience with agile and test driven development methodologies required
  4. Familiarity with Hadoop and Spark highly desired
  5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  6. Knowledge of principles and concepts of Big Data processing and analytics highly desired
 Basic Qualifications/skills:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Finance
  2. Minimum 3+ years of working with Production systems
