Position Summary
 
Reporting to the Global Business Manager of the Equities, Derivatives front-to-back (DF2B) and Securities Processing Technology (SPT) organization, this role will head the provision of comprehensive business management support for a number of the technology groups within the organization, focused on the Equities Derivatives business. The role requires direct management of a small global team and will involve regular interaction with senior management across Technology, Operations, F&BM, and front office stakeholders.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the financial element of annual and multi-year planning in support of business-focused technology outcomes
  • Drive and enable financial accountability across the organization for execution against the plan
  • Create and apply a common set of financial goals, metrics and key success measures for the group
  • Enable and manage effective Change the Bank program governance through initiation, execution and completion of projects, with the timely identification and treatment of risks and issues
  • Optimize Run The Bank spend through management of productivity workstreams, and the identification of potential reductions in the cost base to streamline business processes and improve profitability
  • Create and drive a workforce strategy (skills and location) that is consistent with the macro CIB Technology workforce strategy
  • Manage day-to-day routine within the technology groups
  • Lead and develop a team of business managers
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in a strategic financial and business management environment, ideally within the financial sector
  • Preferably a background in a technology or operations operating environment
  • Must be a confident leader -- possessing a strength of personality and intellect to gain the respect of demanding business heads and senior finance management team
  • Must have a collaborative and participative management style. Professionalism, sensitivity, discretion and sound decision-making skills allied with the ability to interact at senior executive level are essential
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask well under pressure.
