Job Description:
Duties: Provide support for enterprise-sized web applications. Work with cross-functional teams to install, configure, troubleshoot, and resolve trouble tickets related to middleware products such as IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat and CA SiteMinder. Perform proactive system monitoring functions, provide real-time responses, and complete performance tuning. Perform root cause and system log analysis. Interact with vendors and prepare incident reports when necessary. Build RPMs (Red Hat Package Manager) on Linux OS (operating system) environment to specifications. Perform duties as per company standards regarding engagement, change management, and escalations. Provide assistance to junior engineers with application-related questions.
Minimum education and experience required: This position requires a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Engineering Management, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus three (3) years of experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience as a Software Developer/Engineer, System/Program Analyst, Computer/Operating System/Network/Applications/Middleware Support Administrator or Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Engineering Management, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or five (5) years of experience as a Software Developer/Engineer, System/Program Analyst, Computer/Operating System/Network/Applications/Middleware Support Administrator or Engineer, or related occupation in lieu of a Master's degree plus three (3) years of experience.

Skills Required: This position requires three (3) years of experience in the following: providing application support to production and lower environments, operational support, and related system documentation; reporting issues, risks, and timely statuses to a team; performing trouble ticket research and troubleshooting including ticket resolution; creating documentation using WIKI 3.0 Qualifications; working with middleware technologies such as IBM WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, or SiteMinder; system performance tuning and monitoring; HP ProLiant server DL380 G7 and G8; and Symantec ESM 6.5.
