Commercial Card provides payment solutions to businesses, governments and other institutions for commercial expenditures, including business supplies, maintenance, repair, operational expenses and travel. Our solutions and best practices offer the control, reporting, reconciliation and financial benefits organizations need to streamline payment processes and help turn accounts payable departments into profit centers. Our online management applications provide clients with the ability to establish spending limits, create authorizations and workflows, streamline reporting and enforce buying policies throughout an organization.
 
This business manager role is within the Commercial Card Project Management Office that oversees the annual planning cycle, continuous demand, and demand management.  Resources in the Project Management Office require a broad and extensive knowledge of general financial services, business and technical operations across Commercial Card, Card Services, Treasury Services and other LOBs.  The business manager must have business and project management experience with an aptitude in identifying process improvements.
 
The core responsibilities of this position include:
  • Managing the business delivery of the organization roadmap including program business cases
  • Maintaining client focus to ensure a positive client experience across projects/processes
  • Ensuring all project tools are in place and effective at the project level
  • Building relationships across technology, operations, service, sales, program and product teams to accomplish end goals
  • Managing risks/issues program level, escalate as necessary
  • Ensuring that the monitoring, tracking, and reporting on project deliverables occurs through each stage of the project life cycle within the agile methodology
  • Leading meetings at all levels of management related to project status, risks, issues, action items, or change controls
  • Offering constructive solutions/process improvements as needed to resolve issues or design solutions
 
 
 
This role we require 7 years direct experience in the following areas and skill sets:
  • Experience working on Agile teams and familiarity with agile methodologies and planning practices
  • Project management using varying disciplines and techniques
  • Finance experience as it pertains to the development of business cases
  • Experience managing programs with strong technology requirements/dependencies
  • Proven project management skills inclusive of strategic planning
  • Ability to drive issue resolution
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Cross product, market, and technology relationship-building skills
  • Effective leadership skills
  • Ability to bridge communication with business, operations, and technology 
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict-resolution, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in working with technology to evaluate estimates and timing of software development work
  • Experience in executive level status reporting
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams and interact with all management levels
  • Ability to identify and deliver process improvements across lines of business
  • Ability to be flexible, follow tight deadlines, organize and prioritize work in order to support concurrent projects
  • Working knowledge of JIRA, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor degree
