The Robotics & Dashboards Center of Excellence (CoE) leads initiatives across GF&BM focused on automating manual processes using robotics and creating dynamic and flexible visual dashboards using a wide array of BI tools.  The CoE also serve as innovation leaders, continuously exploring opportunities to apply emerging enhanced automation techniques such as optical character recognition (OCR), machine learning (ML), matching algorithms, and natural language processing (NLP).  Sitting in the center, this CoE interfaces with internal clients (LOB P&A, CFO and Controller Groups) to source ideas around robotics, enhanced automation and dashboard opportunities, run functional and technical feasibility analysis, translate the ideas into use cases and partner with Technology to deliver tangible solutions against those use cases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with CoE leads to identify enhanced automation opportunities across GF&BM.
  • Manage end to end enhanced automation opportunities through design, build and test phases, leading up to deployment in production.
  • Keep up to date on the latest technologies, both internal and external, which have high applicability towards Finance processes (reporting, reconciliation, controls testing, approvals, forecasting, etc.); share the learnings frequently with the CoE team.
  • Connect with Technology and Finance Strategic Projects (eg, Finance Risk Infrastructure, Data Lake projects, F3, etc.) teams as well as BAU (eg, Business Object reporting, CDGL, SAP, Essbase) teams to identify opportunities to automate processes without having to build robotics.
  • Partner with other technology teams such as JPMIS (JP Morgan Intelligent Solutions), CT (Corporate Technology) and other LOB technology teams to deliver the enhanced automation solution to clients.
  • Create executive level readouts and status reporting for key client counterparts.

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical lead in a large complex organization.
  • Demonstrates leadership and ability to influence change.
  • Good understanding of basic (robotics) and enhanced automation techniques (e.g. optical character recognition, natural language processing, machine learning, analytical algorithms).
  • Ability to analyze finance processes end to end and recommend the right combination of automation solutions to maximize benefits (e.g. hours saved, FTEs redeployed).
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders (senior executives to process SMEs) and partner with technical teams outside the CoE.
  • Ability to gather industry best practices and latest enhanced automation technologies and apply to opportunities at hand.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Solution oriented and a roll up your sleeves ‘get it done’ attitude.
  • Comfortable wearing multiple hats and working in a dynamic, startup like environment.
  • Bachelor degree (masters preferred) with a focus on Finance and/or Technology.
