The evolution of banking production management, in particular over the past 12 months, has resulted in a number of highly strategic initiatives.  These include service management and effort tracking, failover and SR expansion, automation, process redesign, upskilling, adopting DevOps, standardization of operational practices, adoption of new tools such as Splunk and most recently piloting Site Reliability Engineering.


Given the breadth of these initiatives, a program manager role has been created to partner with the head of banking production management in overseeing these projects, centralizing status and communication of key initiatives and working across production management and banking technology.


The right candidate will understand the firm, the direction of technology, ideally have experience within very large scale transaction processing and trade and will be a highly experienced, effective and organized at owning and managing a large number of complex initiatives.


In addition to managing initiatives, the candidate will have experience in creating business cases and analyzing large quantities of data to determine effectiveness and success criteria.


The candidate will also have a proven track record of creating and maintaining successful partnerships across multiple stakeholders and partners, leveraging a wide network to drive initiatives to completion.


Responsibilities include:

  • Gather, compose, and analyze business requirements required to enable the team to execute the strategic business initiatives
  • Perform impact analysis for business initiatives to determine key business groups who will consequently be required to undergo process change
  • Conduct gaps/differences analysis as required to determine degree of change emergent from business initiatives
  • Conduct a thorough transition process to ensure the approval of Business Requirements, all functional groups are clear and informed on what is required for their respective target state model
  • Ad-hoc consultation for any unique or unexpected scenarios arising.
  • Create standards and platforms for more effective communication of initiatives, risks, successes across the stakeholder groups from banking production management

Required Skills / Experience

  • Technology program management and execution experience including end-to-end understanding of how Technology strategy works and integrates with the Product team, Operation Users, and external clients. 
  • Anticipate internal and external factors impacting the global banking strategy and implementing plans to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities. 
  • You will be able to demonstrate you are a strategic thinker with the ability to motivate and drive execution. 
  • Solid track record of success in supporting large-scale initiatives 
  • Creative problem solver, capable of developing innovative and differentiated solutions 
  • Highly effective communicator – verbally and written
  • Preferably will have experience in business management in addition to technology
