FX Services is a global Product and Trading business that provides spot and forward FX services to clients of various J.P. Morgan businesses - Investor Services, Treasury Services, Commercial Bank, Merchant Solutions, Consumer and Business Bank, and the Private Bank. Services provided include execution of client instructed FX transactions related to corporate payments, securities trades, dividend and income receipts, corporate actions and related instructions.
 
Key FX Services Products
 
ACCESS®FX Merchant offers a comprehensive pricing and risk management platform that is specifically designed to handle high volume, low value retail transactions, empowering our clients to price their goods and services instantly in the preferred currency of their customers. Through a 24x7x365 API, ACCESS®FX Merchant connects to our client online systems, allowing distribution of rates and process incoming FX requests in a seamless and STP manner.
 
Morgan Direct Commercial (MDC) provides FX payments and hedging instruments to large Corporates, Financial Institutions and Commercial Bank clients. FX payments are typically defined as low value payments made through an electronic channel that are part of a client’s broader cash management requirement e.g. payment to foreign suppliers.  The product is integrated into our J.P. Morgan ACCESS®, with over $400 billion payments converted globally.
 
The role
 
The individual will be responsible for the Asian FX Product management scope of work while working with a global product team. He or she is expected to work closely with Sales, Trading, Operations, Technology, and other partners in the Investment Bank, Treasury Services and Investor Services to develop and deliver innovative FX and cash management solutions to clients.
 
Based in Singapore, the role will report to the Singapore FX Product Manager. Responsibilities include:
 
Product Management:
  • Support the FX Product Manager with respect to managing the FX Services owned product sets e.g. ACCESS@FX, ACCESS®FX Merchant, MDC, Passive Currency Overlay (PCO)
  • Support or lead the product delivery on the broader FX Services roadmap and strategies on system migrations, enhancements and new products roll out
  • Work with in house technology team in Agile methodology with respect to price discovery, trade booking and risk management
  • Help to analyze industry trends within FX payments and cash management, risk and regulatory developments and competitive landscape
  • Coordination with global FX Services team in London and New York on product implementations in the Asia region.
Business Building and Sales support
  • Analyze MIS and be able to identify key client opportunities to help drive the sales effort in partnership with Sales, Bankers and Treasury Services
  • Help analyze opportunities to integrate the product with other Investment Bank and Treasury Services products to improve client experience and drive revenues
  • Drive and manage the entire life cycle of client acquisition - Pre sales, Project scoping & requirements gathering, Implementation, Onboarding, and Post live monitoring
  • Assist with effective pipeline management and coordinate sales efforts across regions
  • Ensure proactive Client Service and support for prospects and clients
  • Help to analyze opportunities to integrate the product with other Investment Bank and Treasury Services products to improve client experience and drive revenues
  • Assist with global FX Services team focusing on global companies and their requirements in Asia.
Risk and Control:
  • Partner with global teams in Business Control, Legal and Compliance
  • Support the FX Product Manager in ensuring that the appropriate risk controls, including local regulatory considerations, are in place and adhered to for the products
  • Discuss the operational procedures, data flow and system dependency of the existing business process. Identify risk, gap and improvement areas
  • Provide support and contact point in APAC for pricing, bookings, risk management issues
  • Participate in enhancements and new product UAT, Production Tests and roll out
 
Competencies:
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, you will be able to give examples of previous projects where you have displayed these skills.
  • The ability to lead development based projects from start to finish; partner across various product and technology teams, create and execute project plans
  • Effective communicator to deal with a diverse range of staff and clients and be able to succeed in a demanding and fast paced environment. Strong commercial mindset demonstrating excellent verbal presentation skills – making and delivering presentations to a varied audience
  • The ability to interact with Sales and clients to extract product needs and opportunities for enhancement, and the innovative insight to translate those needs into scalable product solutions and opportunities
  • Expert on producing PowerPoint presentations, you will be able to give examples of previous presentations you have produced. Proficiency in Excel desired too.
  • A sound understanding of FX functions and how clients interact with FX payment products and credit card acquiring
  • Possess sound knowledge of the Asian markets and specific understanding of the complex regulatory environment.
  • Mandarin speaker preferred
Experience:
  • 2+ years experience in product management in financial services required;
  • FX payments and/or Credit Card Acquiring or Fintech experience preferred
