Execution and delivery within the business context is achieved through active collaboration with line of business Technology Controls Officers (TCOs) to provide high quality security solutions and services that are focused on improving the Firm's risk position.  Consistency, standardization and scalability is achieved through a model of locally deployed leadership and capability which provides integration for domain and business line functions at a regional level. 
Cybersecurity & Technology Controls (CTC) – EMEA
The Cybersecurity & Technology Controls (CTC) in EMEA ensures the global CTC agenda meets the business needs and delivers effectively across the region. Specifically the team is responsible for:
  • Regional Technology Risk & Controls Governance, assurance, reporting and regional project execution
  • IT risk assessment and profiling for critical legal entities in the region,
  • Management of regulatory engagements and regulatory change in region as they pertain to Technology
  • IT Controls assessment, gap identification and remediation oversight
  • Regional access control oversight and projects
Role Description
The Cybersecurity & Technology Development controls lead will be responsible for managing and contributing towards all control related activity within the Accelerated Development programme. This exciting strategic programme is evolving the way technology change is delivered firmwide through incorporation of new methods (Agile, DevOps), Technologies (Cloud, Control and Build Automation, Robotics) and processes (JIRA workflows, Control Assessments). Specifically for the short term the Cybersecurity & Technology Development Controls lead will work with SME’s across the firm to design and deploy relevant controls.
This will focus on reviewing, maintaining and continuously improving technology controls, understand the key dependencies across technology groups and lines of business as well as providing reporting and presentation updates.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Work with the delivery streams advising on and designing new controls to support technology change
  • Work with control teams (Cyber, Data, etc),  Technology Control Officer’s and dependent Global Technology Teams to agree a best practice controls and control automation.
  • Lead on the design of controls for both Technology Development and other programmes requiring input from Technology Control.
  • Work directly with the LOB’s to understand the user view of how cybersecurity & technology controls are applied and how processes, tooling or engagement can be improved.
  • Act as an SME for Technology Controls colleagues, LOB’s and technology teams on Development controls and Non-Functional control requirements.  
  • Ensure awareness of any regulatory change impacts to technology development controls and contribute to the global agenda on technology control improvement

Risk / Regulatory Experience:
  • Prior experience of working in Technology/Security Control related teams in the Financial Services Industry.
  • Experience of leading improvements in controls across large complex orgnisations
  • Understanding of technology control frameworks and industry standard controls required to manage complex technology organisations
  • Awareness of Agile/ DevOps and Development Methodologies, associated controls and regulations
  • A good awareness of regulations with specific interest in Technology / Security for the Financial Industry
  • Prior experience of coordinating and managing large technology change
Key Technology Skills
  • Strong MS Office skills (particularly, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and SharePoint).
  • Strong understanding of Development/DevOps tools (JIRA, Jenkins, GitHub, RedHat, Sonar Cube, Blackduck, etc)
  • Strong understanding of Cyber risk and associated controls
  • Strong understanding of Cloud technology and associated principles.
Key Soft skills:
  • Strong communication skills - create effective partnerships with colleagues. Ability to work with senior managers across disciplines. Interact as the key contact for Technology Control programmes
  • Strong diversity skills – ability to communicate effectively with people from various regions, countries and religious beliefs.
  • Demonstrate and foster teamwork - ability to work alone and as part of an EMEA-wide team and to make positive contributions. 
  • Client Focus - Appreciate the customer service concept. Understand and be sympathetic to needs of locations.
