The Technology team at our GSCs service all Lines of Business and Enterprise Technology in helping build and operate innovative industry leading solutions. The breadth of capabilities within the Technology team at the GSC enables it to support the firm in leading edge areas such as Digital, Big data analytics, Robotics & Machine Learning.

As part of the Wealth Management Collateral Monitoring global technology team, these core responsibilities as a business analyst will be utilized in critical projects for WM credit technology projects, including:

1.          GCM Derivatives include collateral monitoring processes

2.          Credit Gateway including Interfaces with external/internal subscribers 

Responsibilities include adherence to the defined agile processes, project deliverable management, issue and risk identification and tracking, as well as status reporting to ensure and sustain high data quality for the collateral systems.

 Role Specific Responsibilities 

  • Specific responsibilities will include producing product backlog, performing complex data analysis, data mapping, creating solutions, creating user stories, defining acceptance scenarios and scripts, acceptance testing and implementation tracking, liaising with the collateral monitoring end-users on business related project deliverables and the technology build teams on build related project deliverables. 
  • As part of Derivatives scrum team be a proxy Product owner to act as link between the Business needs and the development and testing team for ensuring technical solutions satisfies business requirements
  • Work with multiple teams, analyze data and suggest business solution
  • Assist the business in identifying, assessing, and defining product backlog
  • Conduct product backlog refinement with development team and provide key input on business context to the developers during iteration planning
  • Own the product backlog and develop epics/users story mapping/acceptance criteria, working with the business to analyze their business requirements and in return, providing technical expertise and producing functional design for any application additions, changes and modifications
  • Work with analysts and the technology, development team to design solutions for critical program
  • Perform data analysis, including loading data in tables using SQL to analyze the data
  • Understand the context in which data is used within the business and match business requirements to the sources of data within systems
  • Define data quality plans to address data quality issues; work with business partners to build business understanding of data issues
  • Plan acceptance tests ensuring that requirements documentation can be easily translated into acceptance tests, and ensure that the proper testing plans have been completed
  • Develop and execute system integration test scripts and ensure the testing results correspond to the business expectations as part of systems integration testing
  • Identify and communicate risks to producing various deliverables and solutions on time
  • On day to day basis analyze data flow between the systems, conduct root cause analyses and/or provide design solutions based on findings/requirements

Position Requirements

·         Ability to understand Data model and proficient in SQL Query writing and analyzing data. Perform data analysis based on User queries and issues and identify root causes. Proficiency to run SQL queries is must.

·         Have strong analytical and problem solving skills in order to provide solution on complex enterprise level and multiple inter-connected/inter-dependent applications

  • Highly disciplined individual, self-motivated, delivery focused with the ability to work independently as well in a team environment
  • Experience shipping products with high standards on aggressive schedules is required
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively at both technical and business level
  • Ability to learn and comprehend new systems and business processes quickly
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in various phases of  complex enterprise applications as well technical analysis

·         Experience in Credit checks, Derivatives. Finance domain expertise is must.

·         Preferable experience in Wealth management technology projects

·         Experience with large, complex projects

·         Experience in using agile for complex enterprise level application leveraging BDD

·         Detailed knowledge of the project lifecycle and SDLC and related deliverables

·         Bachelors degree Computer Science or Information Systems

·         Excellent verbal and writing skills

·         Attention to detail and ability to work in a structured manner with excellent timekeeping skills

·         Work under minimum direction and use independent judgment in decision-making

·         Required to know Excel, Power Point, Visio, SQL Tools, Jira

·         Experience in writing medium to complex SQL queries

·         Background in system design/development using Java, C++, Oracle/Sybase database
