The Global Proposal Solutions Group supports multiple J.P. Morgan businesses such as: Treasury Services Sales; International Banking-CB; Global Corporate Bank (GCB) and Merchant Services (MS). Products that we cover include: treasury services which are recognized as market leaders offering payment, liquidity, and trade services and advice to clients around the world.  .
This role is for a Global Creative Investment Writer based in either London / New York reporting into the head of Global Proposal Solutions Group.  The role will support sales activity by generating customized, compelling and persuasive sales materials supporting RFP/RFI content, Executive Summaries, Sales Brochures etc.  The role will focus on the writing and creation of both client segment pieces as well as the writing of more generic commentary / communications, ensuring the consistency of message including interweaving J.P. Morgan’s value proposition and unique selling points. 
The role will include:
  • working closely with sales managers and product specialists to create customised and differentiating client facing sales materials
  • Ensuring that the executive summaries are of a high quality and correctly reflect and differentiate the products and services of J.P. Morgan
  • Overhaul and re-creation of existing RFP and presentation content working directly with Database team and product / content owners
  • Writing and overseeing production of complex and high-profile executive and Solution summaries for sales proposals under tight deadlines
  • Generate ideas and develop communications on a variety of treasury services concepts and topics intended for a sophisticated audience
  • Ability to interpret complex topics
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with internal partners (Sales, Product, Legal, Compliance, Solutions) to deliver high quality written communications
  • Develop and maintain in-depth expertise of client / segment needs and interests, business insight and market trends through independent research as well as consultation with internal partners
  • Manage projects/deliverables by actively communicating with team members about deadlines and informing all interested parties of deliverable timelines and status
  • Monitor treasury services, industry and market activities
  • Leading and reporting upon internal initiatives in order to improve the current process
  • Responsible for timely escalation of any issues
  • Adhering to all J.P. Morgan Departmental policies and procedures
  • Experience in managing a team



Attend meetings and appropriate bank training as required to continue development and to enhance knowledge of treasury services products globally
Performance measurement criteria:
Performance measurement based on pre-agreed objectives, and overall team success.

Experience and Skills:

To qualify, candidates must have a combination of skills and experience that include:
  • At least 10 years of successful writing experience, investment industry or financial journalism background strongly desired. MBA, CFA, and other industry qualifications are a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in economics, business, English, journalism or similar discipline.
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Project management and organizational skills required
  • Be able to write for a range of audiences, most notably financial institutions / wholesale and institutional
  • Excellent desktop publishing skills, including a strong working knowledge of Word, Excel and other MS-Office applications.  
  • Proven ability to develop and write engaging, high quality content on treasury-related topics
  • Have the proven ability to work closely and credibly with both sales and product teams (as well as various other senior stakeholders) in order to ensure that content pipeline is aligned with business requirements
  • Experience in Proposal  writing a plus
  • Demonstrated success in a deadline driven environment, multi-tasking, project management, attention to detail, organization of materials and cooperating with team members
  • Self-starter who can work independently or with minimal supervision
