Derivative Operations provides operational support across the CIB covering eight key product areas including FX, OTC Derivatives, Collateral Principal, 3rd Party Derivatives, Cleared Derivatives, Agency Collateral, Billing and CASS with ~1,900 employees.  Services provided to our Businesses include:
  • Transaction Processing, Confirmation, Settlement and Clearing, Collateral Management, Client Service, Invoicing and CASS Support
  • Typical daily activity includes settling in excess of $217B via FX trading, leading a Markets OTC portfolio of 2.5M trades, servicing >200 3rd party clients, performing 10,000 margin calls, processing 470k cleared and intermediated trades and producing >9,000 invoices
 
Collateral Principal Operations supports:
  • Collateral Management credit risk mitigation, client financing and fee based activity
  • Collateral Services supports a wide range of products: Derivatives, Forex, TBA, OTC Cleared, Prime Brokerage, Repos and Loans
  • Daily we generate and distribute margin calls; agree call amounts and collateral types; track and report call disputes, reconcile trading portfolios, monitor settlements and provide extensive regulatory reporting
  • On average we issue and settle ~4,000 collateral calls per day

Job Description
 
The role in Singapore is leading Change Management team focusing on projects supporting Principle Collateral Operations. The individual will focus on project management, business analysis and coordination of process improvements across all aspects of Collateral, including delivering on strategic change and implementing processes to improve “straight through processing” (STP). The role will work closely to manage key stakeholders which include the Operations teams, Compliance, Technology, Finance, Business management, Legal, Heads of Business and global counterparts.
 
Summary of Responsibilities
 
  • Project manage systematic and process changes on behalf of Collateral Ops, executing both on the strategic change agenda and the BAU change agenda;
  • Perform business analysis, project management and coordination of UAT through to implementation for each project;
  • Partnering with key stakeholders in region (Product, Business Management etc.) to determine priorities, ensuring consistency with global priorities;
  • Communicate with stakeholder on analysis, project planning and status updates / reporting
  • Manage and track key risk and issues, escalating where needed;
  • Perform all aspects of people management activities
Skills and Qualifications
 
  • A qualification at Degree level
  • 5 plus years of Collateral experience
  • Experience of proactive process change, including use of new technologies, is desirable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong proven analysis, problem solving and influencing skills  
  • A self-motivated team leader with track record of delivery working to tight timeframes and building a high performing team;
