Your role:
Your role as a senior automation developer will be to help enable other teams throughout JPMC to utilise public and private cloud offerings and development tools through automation.
You will be embedded within a development team and will evangelise DevSecOps, leading by example, creating best in class solutions to help us develop our platform across J.P. Morgan.
You can help us:
  • Finish off the current SDLC solution rollout 
  • Integrate with AWS for hosting applications
  • Expand current analytics on the SDLC workflow and applications
  • Continue to utilise internal cloud offerings to enable cloud readiness
  • Continue to evangelise best practices throughout JPMC
  • Ensure we meet all cyber/security constraints and are able to automatically identify risks
Your development skills, will enable you to:
  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs, by collaborating with the UI/UX team
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
  • Strive for continuous improvement through active participation in team, J.P. Morgan community and site-wide activities
You have knowledge of:
  • Development/scripting technologies (Not all required)
    • Java, Python, BASH, Powershell, Node.js, React, Angular
  • CICD practices
  • Public cloud offerings
    • AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Containerisation technologies
    • Docker, Rkt
  • Infrastructure monitoring
  • Administrating a Linux system at least a junior level
  • Kubernetes
You might also:
  • Be proactive, pragmatic, independent and resourceful in nature
  • Be passionate about web technology with a keen interest in working on latest technology offerings
  • Be able to present evidence of self motivation and passion for web technology
  • Be familiar (or have developed opinions) on how to structure large scale applications/projects and the necessary processes, team structures and technical approaches
  • Have considered opinions on how to work within such a team – but possess an open mind to direction when given
  • Be community minded in your approach to work - and be active in consuming and providing information, teaching and help across all team units
