The Product Development team as part of the Prime Brokerage business is responsible for the development and evolution of the Prime Brokerage Platform, working closely with our partners across the Business, Risk, Legal & Compliance, Operations and Technology to implement product change to meet the requirements of the business, our clients and the ever changing regulatory environment.
The JPMorgan Capital Introduction Group is able to introduce to investors a broad range of investment styles and strategies across all stages of development - from start-up fund to mature manager. Given capacity constraints at established managers and the continued, steady increase in the number of hedge funds from which to choose, the allocation process for institutional investors is increasingly complex. Through its capital introduction efforts, the JPMorgan Capital Introduction Group strives to be a credible source of information for qualified investors and seek to reduce the complexity of the decision making process.
The JPMorgan Capital Introduction Group also organizes a series of conferences, dinners and one-on-one meetings throughout the year in the United States and Europe, enabling institutional investors to be introduced to hedge fund clients of the firm.
Role and Responsibilities:
Extensive buy side experience that can be leveraged into actionable client and investor relationships.
Key liaison working closely with broadening the communication with the sales channel, client service and the relationship management teams.
Create and direct account activity metrics and be control focused.
Assist senior team members with expanding depth of coverage of investors in the EMEA region.
Develop relationships with qualified investors.
Schedule meetings for fund managers with institutional investors.
Lead client meetings for existing and prospective clients.
Provide economic and market research to help the global team stay current on market and investor issues.
Assist with presentations to help educate internal and external constituents on the role of CIG.
Key skills and competencies:
Practical experience of Capital Introduction gained from an Investment Bank, Fund of Fund or Investment Consultancy is highly desirable
Deep and broad knowledge of prime brokerage, hedge funds and alternative asset management is required
Financial and mathematical numeracy
Strong written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal and negotiation skills
Relationship management – demonstrable aptitude for maintaining and expanding relationships at different levels
Self-starter – able to prioritise and manage issues and make risk adjusted priority calls
Appreciation of global regulatory initiatives, and how these affect the ongoing operations and financing businesses
Ability to use innovative solutions to solve immediate needs, and manage delivery of industrial strength solutions to these needs on a longer term basis
