Work as a business analyst with an application development team designing, developing and supporting various applications, reporting and data warehouse needs for the lines of businesses.  As a business analyst he/she will be expected develop a productive partnership with the product owners, business stakeholders and technical team members. He/she will advise developers to deliver technology solutions to meet business needs and collaborate with technical and business teams to develop and implement solutions to meet the end users requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Interact with stakeholders to gather information regarding structure, policies, and systems needs in order to recommend solutions that enable the organizations to achieve their goals.
  • Coordinate meetings with stakeholders to define business requirements for new applications, reports and enhancements to existing products.
  • Develop business cases for prioritization of projects.
  • Translate technical information into a non-technical representation.
  • Document data flow, systems and interdepartmental processes.
  • Define and document precise and accurate User Story acceptance criteria that will be used by developers, automation test frameworks and by product owners to ensure that product owner intent is effectively captured and tested.
  • Arrange client reviews of software under development, ensuring client satisfaction and signoff.
  • Foster Agile principles and methods for requirements gathering
  • Adhere to Agile development methodology best practice
  • Facilitate Agile rapid and meaningful releases
  • Provide regular and detail-appropriate reports regarding the current status of projects.
  • Maintain a traceability matrix throughout the life of a project.
  • Work with developers with the creation of Design Documentation, Test Plans, Operating Guides and User Guides.
  • Participate in the implementation of new systems including support of use cases, user acceptance testing, and post-implementation support.
  • Participate in resolution of production failures for the lines of business and stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting documentation within the software development lifecycle
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in a fast pace agile environment
  • Proven analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
  • Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Ability to interpret SQL/TSQL code and translate it into human readable form
  • Prior use of Excel, Project, and Visio
  • Agile Methodology
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, Sharepoint
  • Basic knowledge of database concepts and queries
  • Familiarity with high level windows and web based application architectures
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal skills and ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience supporting a Data Warehouse environment a plus
  • Experience with data analysis and BI products and applications a plus
  • Blue Print a plus
