Job Description:
Real Estate Americas Client Relations plays a lead role in supporting the marketing and portfolio management efforts of the U.S. Real Estate investment management platform within J.P. Morgan Asset Management’s Alternatives business. This position will support multiple U.S. Real Estate strategies and work closely with the investment, sales and portfolio management teams assigned to the strategies as it relates to the management and marketing of all fund-related activities. Excellent communication (written and verbal), product marketing, analytical, financial, time management and organizational skills, attention to detail as well as interest in real estate are a must. 
Responsibilities include: 
  • Analyze client and market data to identify appropriate marketing strategy and execution plan
  • Develop innovative and creative ways to market existing and new real estate strategies to institutional investors
  • Create and update all marketing collateral including marketing pitch book, product profiles, ad-hoc materials, etc.
  • Support requests from client portfolio managers and collaborate with portfolio managers on outstanding issues
  • Write and/or oversee the production and distribution of monthly and quarterly reports such as snapshots, flash reports, Quarterly and Annual reports
  • Act as central point of contact for 3rd party print vendors employed in the reporting process
  • Coordinate quarterly webcasts broadcast to investors
  • Participate in Investment Committee meetings, business planning, budget review, investment pipeline discussions
  • Develop and manage portfolio management and sales-oriented toolkits
  • Complete and/or review requests for proposal (RFPs), requests for information (RFIs), due diligence questionnaires, quarterly/monthly client/consultant questionnaires and ad-hoc requests
  • Work with internal constituent groups, consultants and clients to answer questions and address issues
  • Work with the Finance team to complete fund level and client/consultant specific analysis, i.e., cash flow analysis, distributable cash flow calculations, cost basis analysis, IRR analysis 
  • Manage and execute the monthly and quarterly trade process; lead discussions with the operations group to resolve any issues
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures around key tasks performed within Client Relations
  • Keep abreast of our competitors: how they are positioned and how we can best position/market our funds and prepare reporting on such to senior leadership
  • Support internal marketing efforts to generalist client/consultant advisors - providing client relations and sales support
  • Identify and work on efficiency initiatives to help team continue to improve productivity
  • Liaise with information management colleagues, client account managers and technology team to streamline/automate/verify client or fund data and reporting (standard/customized/ad-hoc)
  • Facilitate Client Relations-related reporting to internal and external governance bodies overseeing U.S. Real Estate
  • Minimum of 7-10 years experience with financial product analysis, marketing, operations and/or management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent financial, math and/or accounting skills
  • Excellent excel and powerpoint skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, strong work ethic and comfort working in a fast paced environment
  • Strong multi-tasking and time management skills
  • Undergraduate/graduate degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • Series 7 & 63 required
