Job Description:
The Security Engineer within Consumer and Community Banking Digital Technology will play a crucial role to ensure the security of JPMC Digital Channels in a fast-evolving field. You will join a team of critical thinking problem solvers to protect customer facing platforms from external threats. Responsibilities include:
  • Identify, analyze, and report on cyber security threats within the web & mobile channels
  • Recommend courses of action to ensure proper application / information security standards are met
  • Work with technology vendors to ensure they accurately apply security enhancements
  • Liaise with organizations across JPMorgan Chase to handle compliance/audits/security procedures
  • Demonstrated and extensive experience in information technology with a strong emphasis on security principles, techniques and technologies
  • Strong experience deploying, delivering, and supporting enterprise solutions
  • Industry recognized security certifications, such as GIAC PPA, CEH, etc. preferred 
  • Proven knowledge and practical / hands on experience with:
    • HTTP protocols, response codes and behaviors associated with security policies
    • Web application platforms and security services such as:
      • Application Delivery Controllers/Web App Firewalls (F5, A10, Netscaler)
      • CDN services (Akamai, Fastly, InStart, etc.)
      • HTTP proxy servers (Blue Coat, F5, etc.)
    • Monitoring tools such as Splunk and/or SEIM to analyze and interpret data
    • The top 10 OWASP security issues as related to Application Delivery over the web
  • Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, and problem solving skills and strong verbal/written communication skills
  • Knowledge of supporting high priority, mission-critical applications
  • Basic level experience/understanding of:
    • Working with Agile Scrum teams
    • Automated intrusion sets
    • Security incident analysis and recommend remediation steps
