Job Description:

The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management (F&BM) group provides financial advice to support the CIB’s business strategy and helps to ensure a sound control environment. Within F&BM, the four major areas of responsibility are: Business-aligned BMs (Business Managers), the CIB Controller, Support Staff CFO, and Planning and Analysis (P&A).

CIB Earnings & Competitor Analysis Team within the Central P&A group acts as CIB’s point of contact for any external analyst queries (via. Corporate Investor Relations), ad-hoc analysis for Sr. Mgmt. meeting with external investor/analysts, co-owning CIB’s Investor Day analysis/presentation as well as preparing quarterly/annual release of CIB’s results, drafting as well as ensuring accuracy of select regulatory filings and driving thought leadership in competitive intelligence.

Roles & Responsibilities:  
  • Support CIB global management team in developing strategic/tactical presentations for internal and external audiences
  • Liaison with Investor Relations to manage industry conferences and JPM senior management meetings with external Investors / Research Analyst
  • Own and establish expertise in competitive intelligence – including monitoring, analyzing, synthesizing and presenting key insights to CIB global management team
  • Execute on creative analysis and provide insights that aid in management decision making
  • Co-manage CIB Earnings release including drafting regulatory filings, coordinating with CIB teams in analyzing performance drivers and supporting the management team in framing external communication
  • Coach and mentor other team members
  • Create and/or contribute to an environment of collaboration and mutual responsibility
  • Multi-task and manage multiple senior stakeholder expectations

  • 6-8 years’ experience in Financial Services industry with a top tier Bank, preferably JPM CIB Equivalent line of business or equity/credit research with focus on financials 
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills – and ability to interact with colleagues at all levels
  • Investor Relations experience preferred
  • Ability to create concise communication materials
  • Demonstrates expert industry knowledge of key business drivers
  • Knowledge of key regulatory and macroeconomic trends
  • Understanding and ability to analyze financial statements and data
